Sustainable Living

We believe that true luxury includes caring for the Earth.

We designed our Villas with one goal in mind : to create a place where comfort, beauty, and responsibility can live together in harmony.
In a world facing environment urgency, we believe that every action counts, and that tourism, when guided by values, can become a force for good.

Less Plastic, More purpose...

Over the past few years, Thailand has made encouraging progress in raising environmental awareness and reducing plastic waste.

We can highlight :
- The Plastic Waste management Roadmap from Thai government, targetting a complete ban on single-use plastics by 2027,
- Expansion of waste segregation and recycling programs in schools, hospitals and government offices
- Strict visitor limits and seasonal closures of marine parks (e.g. Maya Bay) to allow for ecological recovery,
- Crackdowns on illegal fishing and support for marine biodiversity conservation,
- Thailand aims to generate 30% of its energy from renewable sources by 2037,
- Introduction of the "Thailand Organic" label to help identify and promote environmentally friendly produces.

That's just some examples and community-based composting and zero-waste initiatives are emerging throughout the country.

Yet, plastic pollution remains a global challenge.
While Thailand is often cited amoung the top 10 contributors to ocean plastic waste - generating over 2 millions tons annually - the reality is much more complex.

Much of the plastic waste found in Souhteast Asia doesn't originate here.
For decades, Thailand and other Asian nations have been receiving exported plastic waste from many Western countries, including several european countries.
This adds to the local waste management burden and highlights the global nature of the problem.

It is estimate that in Thailand, each person use over 8 plastic bags per day, resulting in over
500 Billions of plastic bags per year nationwide.

As we speak, only 25% of this plastic is properly recycled.

Plastic-free Commitment
- Daily glass bottle provided and big glass Jars to refill freely from our water refill station, eliminating the need for plastic water bottles.
- no single-use plastic : no plastic bottles, wrappings or disposable containers are used or sold on-site.
- waste prevention first : recycling is good, but not producing waste is even better.
With 5 Villas and 16 rooms, welcoming around 30 guests per night, we estimate that our approach helps us avoid : 600+ plastic items per day.
That's over 200,000 plastic items per year, not ending up in landfills or oceans.

Smart waste management
- sorting bins in every Villa : to help guests separate waste intuitively.
- compost system : Organic waste is collected in our compost station and returned  to nourish our soil and plants.
- our 2 bedrooms villas, in beachfront, have a septic system with phyto-purification : a natural filtration process using plants, making sure that no chemicals are released on the sea in front of us.
- every piece matters : all recyclable aluminium, from worn-out kitchen ustensils to the daily water cap of our glass water bottle, is carefully collected and donated to the Prostheses Foundation of Thailand. Founded by the late King Rama IX, this non-profit organization creates free prosthetic limbs for underprivileged people in Thailand. Your stay helps turn waste into renewed mobility and dignity for those in needs. We invite you to have a look at their amazing actions here:

Design architecture in Krabi Thailand

Eco-construction & Materials
- as much as possible of natural materials : bamboo, wood, stones, terracota, no concrete on pathways or landscaping to preserve the natural water drainage and avoid flooding.
- sustainable architecture : designed for minimal environment impact while maximizing comfort and ventilation.
- while air-conditioning remains a must-have in luxury hospitality, espacially in hot tropical country like Thailand, we've made the choice to equip all our units with energy
-effcient
inverter systems, significantly reducing environmental impact without compromising guest comfort.
- furniture : all pieces are antiques or handcrafted, never mass-produced.

Regenerative Garden & Permaculture
- our tropical garden is designed in permaculture encouraging biodiversity and long-term sustainability.
-
nature inside : each room designed to invite nature inside, creating the feeling of living in harmony with the outdoor while still enjoying the highest comfort.

- during construction, we preserved 90% of trees orignally present on our land, we chose to protect and integrate the existing flora into our landscape design, allowing the local ecosystem to thrive.
The only exception : palm trees because it deplete the soil, require significant water and block sunlight for surrounding plants, limiting biodiversity.
We replaced them with dozen of native species, water-efficient plants that support healthy soil and coexist harmoniously with others.

A long term
commitment to regenerate, reforest and cool the land.- you'll often see butterflies, dragonflies, geckos, birds, squirrels, and so much more, a sign of a healthy ecosystem.

Conscious Daily Living
- Bedsheets & Towels changed every 3 days : this reduces water and energy use without compromising comfort. Guests can request earlier changes if needed.
In a standard hotel, laundering linens daily in 16 rooms would require 3000 liters of water per day.
Our more mindful approach
saves approximately 2100 liters of water daily, that's over 60,000 liters each month, the equivalent of 40,000 plastic water bottles.
- high-speed fiber wifi : for digital nomads or professionals, while encouraging working from home, slow living and nature immersion.
- book exchange library : take a book, leave a book. Available in several languages, because we believe that sharing knowledge is part of sustainable intelligence.
- board games : for unplugged quality time with family and friends.
